The Water Environment Federation’s annual WEFTEC trade show and educational conference is Oct. 5–9 in Chicago. If you can’t make it, consider taking advantage of the organization’s free webcast seminar on a relatively new innovation: sidestream deammonification.
The energy-saving process uses the anammox bacteria to treat high-strength-ammonia wastewater treatment streams like those generated by dewatering of anaerobic digested sludge. The application of this process and technology to the mainstream process is both novel and innovative, and may offer a paradigm shift in nitrogen removal.
The Nov. 7 webinar covers pilot and full-scale testing, viable process configurations, and successful process control techniques. To register, visit here.
