The Philadelphia Recycling Office launched its largest anti-litter campaign using local talent: spoken-word compositions by five street poets, each accompanied by congas, acoustic bass, or saxophone. The citywide effort also includes street poetry events, Facebook and Twitter presences, posters featuring the poets, “Litter Free School Zone” signs, and block-by-block mobilization drives.
