Dig fence and sign post holes and sample soil with these portable 11 hp augers.
Little Beaver’s Hydraulic Earth Drills are efficient and dependable solutions for multiple digging and drilling applications, including fence and sign installation, landscaping and soil sampling. By combining high horsepower engines with the conveniences of hydraulic drives, the units drill efficiently and effectively, even in the toughest soil conditions. They are also designed for easy transport and maneuverability, making them a highly used addition to any rental center’s fleet.
Unlike most competitive models that only offer 9-horsepower engines, Little Beaver’s hydraulic drills feature 11-horsepower Honda overhead valve gasoline engines. The HYD-PS11H drills have a five-gallon reservoir capacity and are mounted on a maneuverable three-wheel chassis. The drills’ relatively small size provides access to areas skid steer-mounted augers can’t reach, and convenient front and rear handles make loading and unloading fast and easy.
At 150 rpm, the hydraulic drills offer controlled and precise speed, resulting in higher torque and substantial drilling diameters. When using a 12-inch or smaller diameter auger, the drills achieve 30-foot depths, depending on soil conditions. The units also handle larger augers that drill holes as wide as 16 inches in diameter.
Integrated forward/reverse levers provide safety and convenience. The levers let operators remove the augers if they’re caught under an obstruction, such as a rock or tree root, which makes the hydraulic drills ideal for heavily wooded areas. Operators can use large diameter augers without fearing dangerous kickback because of the drills’ steel torque tubes. The tubes transfer digging torque from the drill head to the engine carriage, making one-man drilling safe and simple. In addition to protecting the operator from harm, the tubes reduce operator effort and fatigue. The high torque also results in fewer vibrations and a long service life.
