Celebrate the completion and opening of the Kenneth F. Burns Memorial Bridge Replacement Project by watching EarthCam's new time-lapse movie of the project. In less than two minutes, Time-Lapse Courtesy of EarthCam takes viewers through the entire 39-month process - August 2012 to November 2015 - for the new 5-span steel deck arch bridge.

The replacement of the original 99-year old bridge was a signature initiative of Massachusetts' Accelerated Bridge Program, aimed at reducing the number of structurally deficient bridges in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) used EarthCam's webcam technology to capture what is considered the first "MegaProject" in this new bridge program.
