Polluted golf course to regional attraction

A golf course built in the 1950s is now a 163-acre regional destination with a sporting center, events/wedding pavilion, trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, golf driving range and 18-hole putting course, and manmade 20-acre lake.

This banquet garden overlooking the Great Lawn can be rented for weddings and other special events.

Three bridges radiate from the new Royal Palm Beach Commons Park’s Great Lawn area to trails, an 18-hole golf course, and a yet-to-be developed area.

This interactive element attracts visitors of all ages to the park for relief from the hot southern Florida climate.

The new Royal Palm Beach Commons Park’s kayak launch is adjacent to the 17,000-square-foot sporting center building.

The Great Lawn is ringed with picnicking pavilions and docks for fishing.

One of two giant banyan trees that were transplanted from the old golf course flank the sporting center building.
