Culvert improvement saves money

Norton Creek Road’s blind spot caused some close calls between motorists and heavy trucks from local logging and agricultural operations. Benton County Public Works halved the 90-degree angle to increase site distance and navigability.


Norton Creek’s active channel was widened from 11 feet to 13 feet to 15 feet to slow down water flow and facilitate fish passage.
