To meet LEED Silver Level Certification requirements, the new Las Vegas City Hall will feature a solar panel rooftop, canopies that shade the pedestrian plaza while acting as photovoltaic “trees,” and glass with integrated shading technology. It's expected to save the city at least $500,000 annually on electricity and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2,348 metric tons. Images: Forest City
