Successes and setbacks of a merger
One year after 10,000 employees from five transportation divisions and two separate Massachusetts state agencies merged into a single organization renamed the Massachusetts DOT, Luisa Paiewonsky, highway division administrator for MassDOT, tells the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials that Gov. Deval Patrick’s goals are being met.
