With the YourGOV Mobile citizen request application, residents can report nonemergency issues and service requests - such as potholes, vandalism, and streetlight outages - directly from their mobile smartphones. They can then track the progress of their requests and view the status of any open request in your service area. SeeClickFix allows anyone to report and track nonemergency issues anywhere in the world via the Internet. Missouri DOT (Apple, Android)
Need to know highway conditions while planning your route in Missouri? MoDOT Traveler Information App, better known as the “map app,” provides a map of the state with all major roads highlighted. They're color coded to indicate road conditions or construction. Those working in the field update the conditions of the road by radioing back to MoDOT headquarters, and the status is changed within five minutes. It shows major roads and highways, but also some smaller roads. Download this app.

U.S. Census Bureau (Android)
The America's Economy app lets you take the pulse of the U.S. economy straight from your smartphone. It provides real-time updates for 16 key economic indicators released from the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Bureau of Economic Analysis. Measures include employment, manufacturing, international trade, residential construction and sales, and more. It is currently only available on Google's Android platform, but the bureau says it will be coming soon to Apple for its iPhone and other devices. Download for free.


Xerox/Streetline Inc. (Apple, Android)
With the sensor-enabled Parker, motorists can see open parking spaces in real time - and if there's no street parking available it'll direct drivers to nearby parking lots and garages. The app is currently available through public-private partnerships with Indianapolis and Los Angeles, where sensors have been embedded in the pavement to detect when spaces are available. Once parked, motorists can use the app's built-in timer to track how much time is left on the meter, or access walking directions back to their parking spaces. Download this app.

Warranty Check puts water heater warranty information in the palm of plumbers' and contractors' hands, allowing them to check if an A. O. Lennox Mobile gives HVAC contractors and builders complete access to the manufacturer's residential HVAC products and dealers. The Silgranit II Color app allows users to coordinate the manufacturer's Silgranit II sinks with various countertop stones. Users can pair the sinks with different countertops and evaluate the combination. You can also add your own countertop selections to the app by capturing images using your device's camera. The Voice of Color app allows interior designers to browse more than 1,800 paint colors, quickly order 8x12 color swatches, photograph and match any paint color, and create and save color projects. You can use it as a quick reference guide for appendices and definitions and attach custom notes and photos to each finding. When your audit is complete, you can compile and email a full report. Workers and supervisors can use the OSHA Heat Safety Tool to calculate the heat index for their worksite, which then displays the resultant risk level to outdoor workers. Then, with a simple "click," you can get reminders about the protective measures that should be taken at that risk level to protect workers from heat-related illness - reminders about drinking enough fluids, scheduling rest breaks, planning for and knowing what to do in an emergency, adjusting work operations, gradually building up the workload for new workers, training on heat illness signs and symptoms, and monitoring each other for signs and symptoms of heat-related illness. The Model PH-1 Meter Application Accessory provides a real-time display of pH, millivolts, ambient temperature, and solution temperature. When used with a GPS-enabled device featuring a time/date/location stamp - it will record where and when the measurements were taken. Results can be grouped by location or date, and emailed to a central records office in .csv file format. It also works with location-aware devices to log the coordinates where readings were taken for analysis and auditing purposes.
