Bioscrubber system
The AroBios bioscrubber system is an engineered biotechnology in which gaseous pollutants are absorbed then biodegraded by bacteria immobilized as fixed films on multiple biomedia cassettes. Featuring a cross-flow design with multiple biobeds that creates the optimum medium for autotrophic and heterotrophic bacterial growth, it is easy to access, low profile, environmentally friendly, and achieves higher levels of odor treatment than conventional biofilters. Duall Division, Met-Pro Corp. www.dualldiv.com.

Alarm notification
The Spider merges two existing technologies to increase the efficiency of alarm notification for broad applications including wastewater operations. The device uses cellular service to simultaneously act as an alarm dialer and data logger. It communicates directly with the operator without using a Web service. ADS Environmental Services, a division of ADS LLC. www.adsenv.com.

Flow meter technology
The 7510+ flow meter uses multiple chordal path, transit-time technology with application-specific transducers to provide flow-metering capability across a wide range of pipes and channels. It also provides cross-sectional temperature data. Accusonic Technologies Inc., a division of ADS LLC. www.accusonic.com.

Composite elevated tanks
These composite elevated tanks combine a reinforced concrete pedestal and welded steel tank to provide water storage of up to 3.5 million gallons. In addition to AWWA and ICI structural standards, the company also adheres to ACI 303R-04 procedures to achieve architectural concrete defined by uniform color, absence of defects, and aligned and even surfaces. Landmark Structures. www.ldmkusa.com.

Ultrasonic level transmitters
Easy to install and configure, the Optisound VU3X Series Continuous Ultrasonic Level transmitters provide reliable, repeatable, and accurate (within 0.15%) continuous level measurement of liquids. They are capable of measurement at ranges to 30 ft. and have a two-wire, 4-20mA output signal. The compact electronics feature an integral display and keypad for local configuration and eliminate the need for expensive handheld communicators or PC software. Patented algorithms allow the system to ignore most internal vessel obstructions. Krohne Inc. www.krohne.com.

Onsite wastewater treatment system
For commercial and residential developments, Ecoflo is a compact, modular system that meets the same needs as conventional sewer systems. The system treats wastewater in two steps: (1) biological treatment and filtration, and (2) absorption bed. Wastewater from the septic tank equipped with an effluent filter is directed to the Ecoflo filtration system and evenly spread over the entire surface of the natural filtering media. Both fiberglass and concrete units are available. Premier Tech Environment. www.premiertechenv.com.

Packaged membrane bioreactor systems

Using Puron submerged membrane technology, the preassembled MBR systems integrate membrane filtration and bioreactor processes for wastewater treatment plants with up to 200,000 gal./day capacities. The systems are designed for denitrification, advanced tertiary polishing, and scalping applications. Each module uses a single header with hollow fibers that are fixed only at the bottom; the sealed upper ends float freely. This eliminates buildup of hair and other materials.
