Rotary fan press
With the product's rotary press technology, sludge fed into a channel slowly moves between two stainless steel filter plates until it is dewatered into a very dry cake. Self-contained skid systems, mobile systems, or modular systems are easy to install in existing or new projects with minimal space and utility requirements. Several sizes are available for any size plant in most water and wastewater solids reduction applications. Prime Solution Inc. www.primesolution1st.com.

Ultra-compact pressure transmitters
For measuring fluid levels in tanks, water towers, and water purification systems, the GC51 and GC52 gauge and differential pressure transmitters are an ideal alternative to network process transmitters when a digital protocol is not required. Features include an ultra-compact NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosure with 2.65-in diameter, stainless steel wetted parts for wet and dry media, and a built-in LCD backlit display with a 4-20mA output for both local indication and remote signaling. The GC51 is available in ranges up to 0-7500 psig and the GC52 offers differential pressure ranges up to 400 in. of water. Ashcroft Inc. www.ashcroft.com.

Impulse recorder
Designed to monitor water hammer and negative pressure, the HRP-31i attaches to fire hydrants to time-stamp transient events in the distribution system caused by power outages, routine pump shutdowns, valve operations, flushing, firefighting, main breaks, and other incidents. The device records only waveform pressure occurrences that are above or below set pressure parameters, as well as interval statistics. It stays on a hydrant for a month or more, and can be plugged into a Windows-based laptop or the company's handheld data transfer unit to download information. Telog Instruments Inc. www.telog.com.

Cloth media
The OptiFiber family of cloth media is ideal for tertiary filtration, water reuse, and phosphorus removal applications. During filtration, solids contact the pile cloth fibers and are removed from the wastewater stream; some are stored deep within the media while others form a solids layer on the media surface that removes additional solids as they come into contact with it. During backwash, the backwash shoe vacuums the filtered solids from the media. The cloth media are available exclusively with AquaDisk, Aqua MiniDisk, and AquaDiamond filters. Aqua-Aerobic Systems Inc. www.aqua-aerobic.com.

Water treatment
The company offers proprietary water treatment programs for municipal water systems, including chlorine dioxide and sodium chloride programs for water sterilization, odor control, and meeting haloacetic acids and total trihalomethanes requirements. Available products reduce iron and manganese, maintain lead and copper levels below national requirements, and improve water clarity. Pristine Water Solutions Inc., a division of Met-Pro Corp. www.pristinewatersolutions.com.

Vertical pump
The corrosion-resistant, highly dependable 5530 Series vertical pump is suitable for handling difficult dry pit applications including acids, bleaches, and caustics. The pump's design features FRP construction and FRP-wrapped shaft; mounting outside the tank; heavy-duty column and bearings; and an optional high-pressure shaft seal, making it an excellent choice for use on odor control scrubber systems. Fybroc Division, Met-Pro Corp. www.fybroc.com.

Industrial sump pump
The UD Series heavy-duty industrial sump pump is ideally suited, both structurally and hydraulically, for pollution control treatment systems. Applications include feeding fume scrubbers and moving acid and alkali waste to and from treatment tanks. The pumps are constructed of rigid CPVC and PVC to provide mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and chemical resistance to concentrated acids and alkalis. They resist wear, withstand impact, and maintain dimensional stability throughout product life. Sethco Division, Met-Pro Corp. www.sethco.com.
