The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) offers Contractors' Guide to BIM (1st edition, 2006) through its online bookstore. The print version is $25; PDF download is free, but site registration (also free) is required.
In April 2009 AGC launched BIM 101, the first of six modules in its BIM Education Program.
Click here to learn about BIMForum, AGC's task force on BIM. Site registration is required, but free, and enables virtual collaboration with the 1,500+ members.
The National BIM Standard is available as a free PDF download at the buildingSMART alliance Web site. Several issues of Journal of Building Information Modeling also are available online through links on this site. The group offers other helpful information and also serves as the U.S. chapter of the International Association for Interoperability.
