Shifting Suburbs: ULI Releases New Report on Reinventing Infrastructure for Compact Development in Media Webinar
WHAT: Development in America‘s suburbs is becoming more compact, with higher-density development in nodes or along corridors and with increasing options for getting around without a car. As a result, infrastructure planning and financing is proving more critical than ever to ensure that more condensed development in the suburbs is successful.
ULI has just released a new report - Shifting Suburbs: Reinventing Infrastructure for Compact Development – that highlights eight suburban redevelopment projects, explaining how each was built and funded. The report’s case studies include assessments of developments in:
- Dublin, Ohio
- Houston, Texas
- Lakewood, Colo.
- St. Louis Park, Minn.
- Shoreline, Wash.
- Broward County, Fla.
- Montgomery County, Md.
- Richardson, Texas
In addition, the report explores what works and what does not work in suburban redevelopment, including trends in infrastructure development.
