Online learning program

The eLearning program allows concrete engineers, designers, contractors, educators, and students to access ACI Certification training programs and numerous other technical topics online, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Users can participate in structured online education and training programs and earn CEUs from anywhere in the world, at any time, providing a convenient and efficient way to train employees yourself. Training modules involve directed self-study with the assistance of reference documents, learning exercises, educational videos, and a final exam to evaluate the participant's understanding of the topic. Document holder

The Computer Document Holder puts your hands, keyboard, monitor, and documents all in one line of sight. The original product (shown) was a one-piece plastic stand. The new and improved version features hardwood side panels of your choice. It can be ordered in a range of widths, allowing operation of both the keyboard and mouse beneath the documents. Additional ergonomic accessories are available. Borg Adjustable Joist Hanger Co. Inc. www.borghanger.com. World of Concrete Booth N2952. Circle 18.

Trench roller

A maintenance-free oscillating/articulating joint on the new Rammax Viper trench roller optimizes drum contact while providing reliable stability on uneven surface. Its patented Straight Compaction Technology (SCT) provides equal amplitude to all four drums and evenly distributes compaction force by positioning eccentrics above the drum perpendicular to drum rotation. This also provides for easy maintenance access. The unit's patented Z-frame design eliminates any uncompacted area due to the traditional spacing between drums. Multiquip Inc. www.multiquip.com. Electric hydraulic pump

Predator Series hydraulic pumps improve work-site productivity by decreasing the time needed to execute bolting and tensioning tasks. The pump provides constant horsepower output and maximizes motor torque and hydraulic fluid flow compared with two- or three-stage pumps. That increases useable power by eliminating flow power lag between traditional pump stages as they build pressure. The pump makes tools operate faster than two- or three-stage pumps. In addition, it is rated for continuous operation with no need for cool-down periods that cause work delays. A quick-connect coupling system offers fast setup, and a rugged roll cage makes for easy portability. Power Team. www.powerteam.com. World of Concrete Booth N313. Circle 20.

Construction management for wireless

The Mobile Project Manager (mPm) runs on the iPhone and other mobile devices, allowing project supervisors to simultaneously track budgets, workers, materials, and equipment for multiple projects. Used in conjunction with ePlanIt's Labor Tracking System, supervisors can instantly check who is working on a project, how long they have been on the jobsite, and what they are working on. Supervisors can enter percent complete, daily logs, and request materials and equipment. The software also integrates with ePlanIt's video camera technology so jobsite cameras can be remotelyith ePlanIt' vide viewed and controlled in real time. ePlanIt. www.eplanit.com. Control technology for attachments

The Active Control Technology (ACT) system integrates all of an excavator's auxiliary hydraulic controls into a digital interface. It offers advanced control of oil flow, pressure, and direction to attachments as well as supporting components like quick couplers, auto-lube, and accumulators — all from an in-cab monitor. The monitor contains a database that can store an extensive library of pre-programmed attachments, ensuring optimum performance while drastically reducing setup time. HKX Inc. www.hkx.com. Environment-friendly rammers

The BS-2i series of two-cycle rammers with the advanced injection system includes the greenest units available. By updating the engine cylinder, company engineers were able to further lower total emissions by 38%, placing the two-cycle engine emissions well below EPA regulations. It also reduces fuel consumption by 15%. A new low-profile muffler allows the rammers to compact t closer to structures. Wacker Neuson Corp. www.wackerneuson.com. World of Concrete Booth C4215. Tank, tower, & power combo

Both the MTT 20 and the MTT 25 combine a generator, light tower, and water trailer in a single compact unit. The MTT 20's single-phase generator offers 19 kW prime output and the MTT 25 delivers both single-phase (15 kW prime) and three-phase (18 kW prime) output. They are powered by 31.5-hp Isuzu liquid cooled diesels. A 246-gal. fuel tank delivers more than five days of continuous operation. The fully equipped light tower has four 1000 W metal halide light fixtures. The water tank holds 500 gal. and has four spigots: two gravity dispensing and two pumped.
