People to meet

As always, the APWA Congress is an ideal place to meet public works professionals and learn from their experiences. APWA’s Ontario Chapter kicks off the event with a Get Acquainted Party Aug. 17 at the historic Liberty Grand venue on Lake Ontario.

On Aug. 18, the top minds in public works will explore today’s most important issues, challenges, innovations, and solutions at the Public Works Directors’ Roundtable. That evening, APWA honors outstanding individuals, groups, and chapters at the Awards and Recognition Ceremony and Reception.

Begin each morning with the inspirational presentations of an impressive group of Keynote Speakers: Chris Hadfield, former International Space Station commander; Ian Hill, public sector advocate and leadership guru; and Alex Steffen, planetary futurist and best-selling author.
