The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has adopted new guidelines requiring that all precast concrete used in drainage structures come from plants certified by the National Precast Concrete Association. The specification addresses sewage systems, subdrainage systems, storm drainage, utility structures, and other products. Implemented July 1, the requirement applies to agencies affiliated with the Corps but is also included in the USACE's United Facilities Guide Specification, a guideline for all civil and military construction in the country.
