Town of Wellesley, Mass.

Challenge: Meet National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit requirements and fix the drainage issues around town. We’re an old, old community settled in the 1630s just outside of Boston. We have about 3,600 catch basins, 121 miles of storm drains, and 15 miles of brooks and streams in a service area of about 11 square miles.

Solution: Continue inspecting our drainage system and model areas that continue to flood.
