Ogden City, Utah

Challenge: To finish upgrading our water system to continue meeting EPA Surface Water Treatment Rule requirements for turbidity, iron, and manganese.

Solution: Replace our 13.5 mgd bed filter treatment plant built in 1956 and connect it to our new transmission line. In 2013 we replaced the 100-year-old Matheson-joint steel pipeline with 4.5 miles of fusible PVC. The new facility is a 13 mgd Pall Corp. Aria AP microfiltration membrane system, a “package plant” that’s expandable to 15 mgd.
