Compact excavator

With zero-tail-swing maneuvering, the 3-ton 383Z compact excavator can work close to walls and other obstacles with no risk of contact. It weighs 7826 pounds with a canopy, or 8002 pounds with a cab. The engine is mounted on the side of the machine, and the hydraulic and fuel tanks are on the rear; to increase cab size. The machine has a longer undercarriage than other compact excavators, which allows it to perform more like a conventional excavator under heavy digging conditions. Gehl Co. www.gehl.com.Circle 21.

Vapor retarder

Viper VaporCheck, an under-slab vapor retarder, is manufactured using cross-woven polyethylene. Designed to withstand harsh construction traffic, thereby reducing the risk of punctures and pathways for water infiltration, the product is easy to install. It comes in 123200-foot rolls and three different thicknesses—6½, 10, and 16 mils. Insulation Solutions Inc. www.insulationsolutions.com.Circle 22.

Concrete floor topping

Level-Right WearTop is a self-leveling, portland cement-based concrete floor topping that provides a surface strength up to 6200 psi. The topping can be installed by pumping or pouring and dries quickly—it can handle foot traffic within two hours. Available in gray or white, epoxy or seamless flooring can be installed over the product without a sealer. Maxxon Corp. www.maxxoncorporation.com.Circle 23.

Compact utility vehicle

With a 92-inch length and 40½-inch width, the Dingo TX 525 wide-track compact utility loader maneuvers well in small spaces. Powered by a 25-hp Kubota diesel engine, the loader weighs 2127 pounds and boasts an operating capacity of 553 pounds. Its 9½-inch wide tracks distribute the weight to 3.5 psi, resulting in good flotation on soft ground. The Toro Co. www.toro.com.Circle 24.

Heavy-duty equipment tire

Able to support heavy loads, the Flat-Free solid utility tire is designed for industrial and construction equipment, including hand trucks and wheelbarrows. The tire's outer skin is formed using a centrifugal casting process, providing chemical and UV-resistance. Manufactured using both open- and closed-cell technology, the tire is non-marking and available in various sizes and assemblies, including casters. Mold-resistant coating

Forming a barrier that inhibits the growth of mold and mildew, UltraBan can be used on various surfaces, including concrete, masonry, drywall, and siding. It creates cross-linking polymerization, which makes the surface water repellent, while its perm rating of 1.25 to 2.25 allows the film to breathe. The film can be tinted before application and, because it dries clear, it is possible to paint, stain, or seal it. One gallon treats up to 1000 square feet. Rotary hammer drill

Weighing 7 pounds, the TE 7-C rotary hammer drill is intended to increase productivity by allowing workers to work longer. The tool is designed for drilling and light chiseling in concrete, masonry, and stone. It can handle drilling with core bits up to 2 inches in diameter and has a removable chuck interface. This unit also is compatible with the company's self-contained dust removal system. Hilti Inc. www.us.hilti.com.Circle 27.

Puddle-free dust suppression

A hydraulically driven dust suppression system, Dynaset's water pump provides high-pressure water to nozzles mounted directly on work tools such as pulverizers, hammers, crushers, or drills. The water particles are large enough to weigh down the dust, but small enough to evaporate quickly, preventing puddles and mud on the jobsite. Gensco Equipment. www.genscoequip.com.Circle 28.

Sweeper with dust abatement

VS sweepers for skidsteer loaders control dust without water systems while a PTFE-impregnated filter filters dust as small as 10 microns. A drape system seals the sweeping chamber to the ground. Available in 60-, 72-, and 84-inch models, the sweepers have a volumizing feature for more debris volume and less recirculation. No tools are required for brush pattern adjustment. Sweepster and FCC Attachments. www.sweepster.com.Circle 29.

Walk-behind saws

Street Pro series walk-behind saws—SP1 push, SP2 push, and SP2 self-propelled—all feature a steel-box frame design to extend saw life and reduce vibration while cutting concrete and asphalt. Powered by electric motors or Honda gasoline engines, all are equipped with cranks for raising and lowering cutting depth, saw position guides, and hinged fronts.
