Since 1937, the American Public Works Association (APWA) has been the only professional organization that supports the men and women who contribute so much to their community’s quality of life.
To that end, it launched National Public Works Week in 1960; provides multiple certifications; accredits agencies; publicizes exceptional service through annual programs like Top 10 Leaders; and brings members together at an annual conference called PWX.
I’ve gone every year since joining Public Works a decade ago and always, always learn something. This year, I’d like to see the show through your eyes.
I did this when the American Water Works Association (AWWA) came to Chicago, where my office is, in June. Three readers including an AWWA vice president let me tag along to see what they were interested in seeing and why.
I met great people and learned a ton.
If you’re going to the show and would like to be my guide for an hour or two, let me know by e-mailing email@example.com.
Hope to hear from you!
