A footbridge more than 90 feet long constructed of Meccano -- a toy similar to Legos that consists of "re-usable metal strips, plates, angle girders, wheels, axles and gears" -- was built in Ireland. It was designed by third-year civil engineering students and became the world's longest bridge made from Meccano. McLaughlin & Harvey and Aecom assisted the students with the project.
