Nineteen public works professionals earned the American Public Works Association's (APWA) Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII) credential. This certification is to promote quality infrastructure through the advancement of knowledge as well as the practice of construction inspection to help better serve communities and public agencies.

Since its inception, a total of 258 professionals from the U.S. and Canada have received the CPII certification. It is intended for those whom inspect the construction of public infrastructure and facilities, in addition to other types of construction work and materials to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
