Active fall protection for one or two workers loading vehicles, accessing machines and equipment, maintaining buildings, using an overhead crane.
Kee Safety, Inc., Buffalo, New York announces the introduction of KeeLine Overhead Lifeline Systems to provide fall protection and support for one or two workers at elevated heights during construction and maintenance. The new KeeLine Overhead personal protection equipment (PPE) system mounts directly above the user for overhead applications including vehicle loading, machine and equipment access, building cleaning and maintenance, and overhead crane access.
The system is comprised of a 5/16” thick 316 Stainless Steel wire and durable, low-maintenance electro-polished brackets with two permanently attached wheeled travelers. The brackets are installed into a suitable structure, including steel or concrete, and allow the wheeled traveler to run smoothly over those placed immediately along the wire. The travel line can be configured to allow single or multiple spans of up to nearly 78 feet between supports for use by one or two workers, according to Kee Safety. The system also incorporates the patented KeeLine shock absorbers, which limit the end loads to the structure, and KeeLine self-retracting lifelines, which lock and minimize the impact in the event of a fall.
The new KeeLine Overhead Lifeline is part of the Kee Safety line of active fall protection that includes the KeeLine Horizontal Lifeline system, Kee Walk anti-slip rooftop walkway system, and Kee Anchor deadweight fall protection devices. The company also manufacturers OSHA-compliant passive fall protection systems including KeeGuard roof edge permanent safety railing systems, KeeGuard Contractor temporary, portable safety railings, KeeGuard Skylight Screens, Kee Dome rooftop dome railings, Kee Mark demarcation lines, and Kee Hatch safety railings for roof hatches.
