North America's stormwater professionals and interested stake holders are invited to register for the next installment of the Water Environment Federation's (WEF) Great Water Cities dialogue, Great Water Cities 2016: Rainfall to Results in Action. The two day special event will be held from May 10-11at the Mid-America Club in Chicago and will build on previous talk that brought together diverse groups of leaders and stakeholders.
Stormwater management will continue to grow in importance as storm water is the only growing source of water pollution in many of North America's watersheds. In July 2015, WEF launched their Stormwater Institute and released their report Rainfall to Results: The Future of Stormwater that September:
Great Water Cities 2016: Rainfall to Results in Action will build upon the report findings and provide a catalyst for continued advancement in several key areas of stormwater management, including recognizing its inherent value as a reusable resource. Both new and familiar themes from past GWC events will be addressed—such as looking for smarter and more progressive water management approaches to increase resiliency, enhance livability, and conserve resources—but will be presented through the unique lens of the stormwater sector.
