The American Public Works Association (APWA) is the only professional organization for the men and women who oversee infrastructure assets and services, and its annual convention begins Aug. 28 in Minneapolis.
Last week, I asked to tag along as you talk to vendors on the trade show floor and attend seminars.
At the American Water Works Association's June convention, THREE people let me hang out with them. OK, one was drafted, but he was quite gracious about it.
This year at APWA, I'll crash the Ohio Chapter's dinner as I have every year since 2006. I hope to lunch with my friends from Columbus, Ohio, who I met when APWA came to the city in 2009. I may reach out to our August issue's cover girl.
Thanks to APWA Communications/Media Relations Manager Laura Bynum, I'll spend some time with the association's new executive director. Other than that, not much planned.
So if you're going and wouldn't mind the company, e-mail email@example.com.
Thank you and have a great day.
