A new report from the Kaiser Family Foundation finds that the average worker now pays an out of pocket cost of $1,318 on average for health insurance coverage. Compare that to a decade when the cost was on average $584.
The problem is that the average American wage isn’t keeping up with the growing cost of health insurance. Since 2010, monthly premiums have increased by 24% according to the report.
