TRC announced that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has awarded it a five-year, $19.8 million contract. Under this contract, TRC will provide the department with construction inspection services for precast and prestressed concrete products used on roadway and bridge projects across the state.
TRC will be working to inspect new structures being installed to replace as well as upgrade aging infrastructure systems throughout Pennsylvania. Structure receiving regular inspection include: bridge structures, earth retaining walls, etc.
"This award extends our 25-year relationship with PennDOT, and we are pleased to continue our role in support of important infrastructure upgrade projects across the state," said Scott Gallaher, P.G., Principal of Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for TRC. "These efforts will help to address structurally deficient bridges throughout Pennsylvania, greatly enhancing the safety and quality of the state's highway system."
