Portable lighting tower system

The SHO-HD lighting system for portable light towers is designed for use in the company's SHO parallel lamp fixtures for mobile applications. The 1250 W lamps produce 150,000 lumens—a 30% increase in light input and a 20% increase in coverage area over the company's 1000 W system. This enables better object recognition and increased jobsite safety. Allmand Bros. Inc. www.allmand.com. CONEXPO–CON/AGG Booth G-184.

Compact concrete drill

Designed to replace electric hammer drills, the Model 65B on-grade concrete drill fits in a 2-ft. patch, making it one of the most compact pneumatic drills on the market. It operates on a minimum of 20 cfm and drills holes from ½ to 1/8 in. in diameter. It also drills to 8 in. deep in a 2-ft. patch, and up to 12 in. in a 30-in. area. The drill can be adjusted to center on slabs as thick as 2 ft. E-Z Drill Inc. www.ezdrill.com. CONEXPO–CON/AGG Booth S-8633.

Handheld breakers

Ideal for concrete and asphalt breaking applications, TEX pneumatic handheld breakers feature vibration reduction and ergonomic upgrades that enhance comfort and productivity. For instance, a wear-resistant polyurethane silencer dampens the noise from compressed air pulsations. Plus, a two-step trigger allows full control of the chisel when starting a cut. And a high power-to-weight ratio and low center of gravity reduces operator fatigue. The breakers deliver 1500 bpm. Atlas Copco Construction Tools LLC. www.us.atlascopco.us/usus. Vibratory rollers

DV Series tandem-drum vibratory compaction rollers now feature Tier III engines that deliver 31 to 48 hp (the previous engines delivered 27 to 38 hp). The rollers can be used in asphalt and granular material applications, and on steep surfaces. Hydrostatic drive supplies variable speed to both drums for great traction, while speed and forward/ reverse are controlled with one lever. Case Construction Equipment. www.casece.com. Pothole patcher

With its insulated electric-heated hopper and thermostat, the FP5 Flameless Pothole Patcher reduces material waste while keeping asphalt pliant and at a constant temperature. The damaged area is first removed and squared off with the pavement breaker. Then the air and tack wand blows out any remaining debris and applies the tack coating. The material chute delivers fresh, hot asphalt and consolidates the material evenly with existing pavement. Bergkamp Inc. www.bergkampinc.com. CONEXPO–CON/AGG Booth S-544.
